An Old Alresford care home has celebrated its deputy manager's 30 years of service.
Old Alresford Cottage held a surprise celebration on Monday, August 12 for Sam Binfield-Woods, who joined the team at the age of 19.
The event was attended by the home's directors, senior management, past and present colleagues, and managers from care homes across Hampshire.
Ms Binfield-Woods, who was appointed deputy manager in 2008, was "taken aback" by the number of people who came to congratulate her.
She said she "never expected" to spend three decades supporting people with dementia, but her passion for care was spotted at an early age.

As well as spending each day supporting residents and colleagues, Ms Binfield-Woods has also brought her love of animals to Old Alresford Cottage.
Her cockapoo, Cooper, is a daily visitor to the home and is loved by all.
He will be commencing his therapy training soon to become an official PAT dog.
She also has two budgies in her office, belonging to residents who could no longer give the attention they needed.
Old Alresford Cottage director Chris Bialan said: "You are deeply loved and appreciated - happy 30th."
