A WINCHESTER woman has won ‘Specialist Dog Trainer of the Year’ for her work with gun dog breeds and rescue dogs.

Karen Maher’s Hursley-based business Maher and Hound has received its third dog behaviourist award.

In 2022 she won the titles of Most Patient Dog Behaviourist in the Southeast and Dog Trainer of the Year.

Her business offers a variety of programmes, including behavioural modification, scent work, and individually tailored puppy, dog and pet gun dog training.

She operates in the Winchester and Romsey areas, but also offers online sessions globally.

Karen has recently been featured in the Saturday Telegraph for her passion and achievements in dog training and rehabilitation.
