Shakespeare Martineau has expanded its healthcare expertise by recruiting a team of six legal professionals.

As part of the full-service law firm's growth strategy, the team, which includes three partners, two associates and a solicitor, has been brought in from Knights.

They specialise in corporate transactions within various healthcare sectors and brings a combined 59 years of experience to the firm.

The team is led by partners Jonathan Tyson and Gemma Tyson, who have extensive experience in handling transactions in sectors such as dental, pharmacy, opticians, children's nurseries and veterinary practices.

They are supported by partner Katie Taken, associates Jonathan Hill and Louise McDonald, and solicitor Stena Rham.

The new recruits bring a wide range of expertise and experience to the firm.

Katie Taken has been advising on the sale and purchase of pharmacy and dental practices since 2011.

Jonathan Hill has particular expertise in dental practice acquisitions and disposals.

Louise McDonald has extensive experience working with dental practices and pharmacies.

Stena Rham supports transactions in the dental, pharmacy and childcare sectors.
