TWO applications have been refused by Winchester City Council planning officers using their deferred powers this week.

All the applications had the applicant's names withheld.

In Bishop’s Waltham, plans to erect a vert skate ramp and a mini skate ramp, as well as a fencing around land at the corner of Paradise Lane and the A333 have been refused.

In Whiteley, permission has been denied to plans to erect two detached self build houses with detached garages, parking, turning and landscaping on land adjacent to Lodge Green, Whiteley Lane.

All other applications have been approved.

In Bishop’s Waltham, plans have been approved to construct a two storey rear extension and loft conversion at 8 Princes Close.

In Colden Common, an application to add a single storey extension to an existing workshop at Clayfields Caravans, Main Road, has been approved.

In Curdridge, permission has been granted to update the approved drawings connected to a separate application for Jasmine Cottage, Kitnocks Hill.

In Oliver’s Battery, a single storey front extension can be built at 6 Downlands Road.

Plans for a single storey rear extension at 5 Moorlands Road, Swanmore, has received permission.

In Tichborne, a retrospective permission has been given to replace the existing brick coping parapet with small tile roof above garage door at Ladycroft House.

In Winchester Town, permission has been given to replace the windows at the front and rear elevations at Vision Express in the High Street. Permission has also been given for a replacement roof lantern and felt to ground floor flat roof.

At 12 St Faiths Road, permission has been received to make alterations to the loft accommodation including the replacement of the two roof windows in the pitched roof of the front elevation and the extension/ replacement of the dormer at the rear.

Plans to add a rear extension to 91 Alresford Road have been approved.

An application to add a side extension to 3 Lynford Avenue has gained approval.

In Wonston, retrospective planning permission has been granted for the construction of a brick-built enclosure intended to house a water cylinder and associated air-source heat pump equipment at the rear of The Old Estate Cottage, The Avenue, Winchester Hill.
