FORMER pupils at a Winchester boy’s school are planning a reunion to celebrate 60 years since they graduated.
The reunion will take place at the Winchester Club, Worthy Lane, on Sunday, October 13 and will include the 1960/1961 class from Winchester County Secondary Boys’ School.
This will not be the first time they have met up since leaving the school. The first was in 1985 when they were all in their 40s. Seventeen years elapsed, however, before the next organised reunion in 2002 – held at the now-demolished Stanmore Hotel – and they have met on a regular basis at various venues since then.

Many ex-pupils and their partners have already committed to the lunchtime gathering – some travelling from as far afield as Cornwall and East Anglia to reminisce.
Colin Grant has coordinated the attendees but, as time has gone by, contact has been lost with some, and Colin would therefore be pleased to hear from anyone who has been missed in the process, as they would be very welcome to join the event.
Colin can be contacted by e-mailing ikie.grant@btinternet.com or phoning 023 8073 5533.
