A WINCHESTER shoplifter has been banned from the city centre for two years.
James Beadle, 45, of Hyde Gate, Hyde, stole wine worth £8 from Sainsbury’s on July 14 and wine worth £8.50 from Tesco on July 17, a court heard.
Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Friday, July 19, Beadle pleaded guilty to both offences.
On Friday, September 6, Beadle was given a criminal behaviour order banning him from entering Winchester High Street and any shops within it, Middle Brook Street and any shops within it, the Brooks Centre and the Tesco on Andover Road. He has been banned from entering those locations for two years.
He has also been imprisoned for six weeks.
