Age Concern Hampshire is set to benefit from this year's Fareham Rotary Club fundraising, thanks to President Robert Hitchins' selecting them.

Hitchins, who assumed presidency in July 2024, chose Age Concern Hampshire's Lockswood Care and Wellbeing Centre as the yearly beneficiary.

The announcement took place at a garden party held on September 4 at the Lockwood Centre.

The president, together with fellow Rotary Club members, enjoyed a homemade lunch and mingled with clients, volunteers, and staff at the event.

The support from the Fareham Rotary Club could enable Age Concern Hampshire to improve its facilities and aid an even greater number of individuals.

The partnership is anticipated to make a substantial difference to the services provided by the Lockswood Centre, making it a worthwhile recipient of the Rotary Club's fundraising efforts.

Hannah Parks, head of operations at Age Concern Hampshire, said: "We are incredibly grateful to Robert Hitchins and the Fareham Rotary Club for their generous support.

"Their commitment will make a significant impact on the lives of older people in our community, helping us to continue providing essential services at our Lockswood Care and Wellbeing Centre."
