I am interested to know if anyone may have any information about the history of "The Peaceful Home", 9 East Street, Alresford.
The reason is that my grandfather who I never knew possibly spent his last days in “The Peaceful Home” in (then) Alresford, Hampshire although this may not be the same property. I only know this from a partially deciphered letter to my mother.
I wondered if you know if this was originally a nursing home, hospice or hospital in the 1930s. If you have any additional information it would be very helpful in finishing one outstanding query on our family tree.
