A person is in a serious condition after being hit by a car on the M3.
Police were called to the M3 between junctions 9 and 8 at around 6.20am this morning (Saturday, August 31) following an accident between a car and a pedestrian.
The pedestrian has been taken to hospital in a serious condition.
This is the second car and pedestrian incident on the road in 24 hours, after a man was hit by a car further down the road on Friday afternoon.

A diversion route has been put in place for commuters, signposted by solid diamond diversion symbols on road signs.
Police ask that if you saw what happened or have dashcam footage of the incident to contact them on 101 quoting incident 457 of today’s date.
