Child audiences will be left mesmerised when The Very Hungry Caterpillar comes to the Theatre Royal Winchester for two days.
From September 14-15, the theatrical reproduction of Eric Carle's beloved tale, will be a treat for all the family.
The narrative involves a caterpillar that nibbles through an assortment of fruits, indulges in a variety of food items such as chocolate cake, ice cream, Swiss cheese, and sausages.
Since its inception back in 1969, the book, which this play stems from, has sold over 48 million copies globally.
The performance also includes Mr Carle's other celebrated stories - The Very Busy Spider, 10 Little Rubber Ducks and Brown Bear, Brown Bear.
It boasts over 75 lively puppets, ranging from the Brown Bear to a flamingo, a cat, a frog and the 10 little ducks.
Jonathan Rockefeller, with credentials of directing Sesame Street the Musical and Paddington Gets in a Jam, is the creative brain behind this production.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar has enjoyed successful runs in the UK, America, Australia and New Zealand.
The play will be showing at Theatre Royal Winchester from September 14 to September 15.
