A WOMAN allegedly encountered a naked man on a bridleway in Winchester.

Witnesses have been asked to come forward following a report of indecent exposure off Five Bridges Road, between St. Cross Symondians Cricket Club and the River Itchen.

A woman said she encountered the naked man between 2.30pm and 2.35pm on Wednesday, August 21.

The unknown man tried speaking to the woman before she walked off.

Hampshire Police described the man as being white, aged between 55 and 62 years, approximately 5ft 8ins tall, larger build, bald, beaked nose and possibly wearing glasses.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We would like to hear from anyone else who was also in the area at the time of the incident, recalls seeing the man described above, or knows his identity.

"Additionally, if you have any other information which may assist in our investigation, including any dash cam, doorbell camera, mobile phone or CCTV footage, please contact us on 101 and quote incident number 44240361313."
