Winchester parents will soon have the chance to buy quality baby essentials whilst supporting their local community at the forthcoming NCT Nearly New Sale in October.
This initiative is supported by local sponsors, Dybles, Baby Squids, Liz Knowles Women’s Health & Fitness Physio, 2Spots Ceramics, and The Breaker Collective.
Planned for the afternoon of Sunday, October 13, from 1pm to 3pm, the sale provides an organised shopping experience at the Badger Farm Community Centre, Winchester, SO22 4QB.
Customers will find all items, such as clothing or toys, sorted by size or type for convenience. Entrance is £1.50 per adult, this acts as a charity donation, with free admission from 2.30pm. NCT members can also gain early admission at 12.45pm.
Additional details are available online at https://www.nct.org.uk/event/46320593.
Second-hand clothes, toys, and equipment for babies and children are available to everyone at the Nearly New Sales. Items on sale can often be purchased for much less than they would be on the high street. The scheme also promotes recycling by encouraging families to sell items they no longer need, preventing these goods from ending up in landfill sites.
The NCT, a national charity aiding parents as they transition into their new roles, runs the Winchester branch.
It offers a wide range of essential services, including baby first aid courses, breastfeeding support, baby bundles for parents in need, and a reusable nappy library.
The event's total earnings will be used to fund services offered by the local Winchester branch as well as the charity's national initiatives, such as helplines, website, peer support programmes, and counselling services.
Information about these services is available at https://www.nct.org.uk/local-activities-meet-ups/winchester-district.
The Nearly New Sale is reliant on a team of friendly and dedicated helpers who volunteer on the day. These volunteers gain early access to the sale items. It also offers an excellent opportunity to meet other local parents.
