A DRINK driver caught in Winchester has been banned from the road for 19 months.
Dominic Kriescher, 28, of Saddlers Close, Sutton Scotney, was stopped by officers on the B3420 in Winchester on July 25, a court was told.
Kriescher, driving a 63-reg Seat, was breath-tested and returned a reading of 79 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the prescribed limit of 35mg, said Kerry Richardson, prosecuting.
He admitted the charge when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on August 15.
The ban will be reduced by 19 weeks if he passes an approved course by August 31 2025.
Kriescher was fined £440 with £85 costs and a victim surcharge of £176. The penalties will be paid off over six months with monthly instalments of £116.84 to start on September 30.
