A HAMPSHIRE country pub is rolling out the red carpet for the community's four-legged friends on National Dog Day.
The Four Horseshoes, in Nursling, is honouring furry and loyal companions on Bank Holiday Monday, August 26.
Every dog visiting the pub on the special day will be treated to a complimentary Bark Brew ‘Beer’ or a Paw Star ‘Martini’, ensuring they too can join in the festivities.

Adam Khalil, general manager, said: "The Four Horseshoes is well renowned for being a dog-friendly local pub and we know how much our customers love their dogs, so we wanted to do something special to celebrate National Dog Day. We are also raising money for Second Chance Animal Rescue over the weekend.
“Our Sir Woofchester’s Bark Brew ‘Beer’ and Paw Star ‘Martini’ are both fun, safe, and non-alcoholic treats that allow dogs to feel like part of the celebration. It’s going to be a great day for dogs and their owners alike, and we can’t wait to see everyone here on August Bank Holiday Monday."
The Four Horseshoes is thought to be one of the first pubs in the area to offer an extensive menu for dogs, as well as their sister establishment The Duke on The Test in Romsey also offering Sir Woofchester’s range. To add to the experience, the meals are served in silver bowls to make four-legged friends feel even more special.
