ROMSEY will be awash with princesses for the town's first princess festival.

Snow Princess Parties Hampshire is hosting the event in the War Memorial Park on Friday, August 23.

The event has previously been held in Winchester where seven people dress up as princesses with live singing and dancing performances on the bandstand, followed by individual princess meet and greets and photos around the park.

Festival stalls will be open from 11am-3pm, with the princesses attended from 12pm-2pm.

The parade is completely free of charge and people are encouraged to dress up for the occasion - there will even be a fancy dress competition for the children dressed in their best princess/superhero/character outfits.

The event has been highly anticipated online and so under the advice of Romsey Town Council organisers implemented a (free) ticketing system this year to help keep numbers of attendees a little more controlled. They hope to make it an annual event in Romsey.

Anna Tucker, director of Snow Princess Parties Hampshire, said: “After a very successful parade last year in Winchester, I am so excited to be bringing the Snow Princess magic to Romsey this year. Our aim is to bring some magic, love and joy to little ones; and give them an unforgettable experience right on their doorstep.”
