THE Slow Cyclist is teaming up with Hampshire-based The Grange Vineyard and Winery to host a Syrian feast for charity.
The event, scheduled for September 5 from 6 to 11pm, aims to raise funds for Action Syria.
The feast will feature the Syrian cuisine of Imad Alarnab, from Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, it will be held at The Grange Vineyard and Winery, near Alresford.
Guests will also hear from representatives of The Slow Cyclist, The Grange and Action Syria, including Imad's inspiring journey from fleeing Damascus to owning a restaurant in London.
The Slow Cyclist will lead a bike trip for overnight guests the following day.
Pre-booking is required and costs £150 per person.
Founder of The Slow Cyclist, Oli Broom, said: "It is very exciting to be hosting this Slow Table supper, a one-off collaboration between The Slow Cyclist, The Grange and Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, all in aid of Action Syria.
"We’ll enjoy fine wine from The Grange among the vines on their estate, and enjoy delicious Syrian cuisine from the wonderful Imad of Imad’s Syrian Kitchen. Action Syria is a charity we began supporting in the aftermath of the February 2023 earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
"We want to raise money from the event to support their ongoing humanitarian work in the region. This is going to be a really special evening and I hope you’ll join us."
