A SUNFLOWER field is preparing for a bumper bank holiday weekend.
Silkstead Sunflowers near Otterbourne, run by Kayleigh and Geoff Venn, has brought a splash of yellow to the countryside as it welcomes visitors.
This weekend it will put on a spectacle, with a "unicorn ride", circus acts and a variety of other events for the whole family. Tickets for the Monday, August 26, can be booked on the Silkstead website.

Business has been good so far this year at the 10-acre site, with over 900 people turning up so far to marvel at the huge yellow flowers.
The site includes a maze with secret features, games for kids, a viewing platform and a dozen rubber ducks hidden throughout the trail.
"The ducks are a new addition for this year," Kayleigh says as we walk along a tunnel through thousands of eight-foot-tall sunflowers.
Henry, her son, adds that all the ducks have names, ranging from Bob the Builder to Captain Quack to Gary the Gondolier.
Entry to the site is £5 per person, and the price includes three sunflowers which visitors are free to take home.
