A bumper crop of car boots is predicted again this month in a village near Alresford, making it the 37th car boot sale in 39 years.
It will mean an early start with gates opening to the public at 8am on Bank Holiday Monday August 26 but sellers are welcome to arrive from 7.15am to set up.
Held as a fundraiser for local family support charity Home-Start Winchester, it has become something of an institution.
The sale is off Wood Lane, Bramdean SO24 0JW.
Home-Start Trustee Chrissie Barlow said: “We survived a deluge of rain one year and then a heatwave the next, but still eager booters and buyers made their way to us. Only two car boots have ever been disrupted, one due to Covid and another to monsoon rainfall, so we are keeping our fingers and toes crossed that we avoid any climatic extremes after this summer’s bonkers weather.”
Directions will be posted from the A31 and A272 and refreshments, disabled parking and a portaloo will all be available on site. Seller fees are £10 per car, £15 per van or trailer or double pitch (cash only), while buyers will make a donation to Home-Start volunteers manning the entrance gate.
