ONE application put before Winchester City Council planning officers was refused this week.

The list of decisions has the names of each applicant withheld.

In Newlands, the new settlement west of Waterlooville, plans for a garage conversion with the installation of a window at 2 Cumberland Row was rejected.

Alongside this, two other applications were withdrawn.

In Denmead, plans to Install an air-sourced heat pump at the rear of 29 Lowland Road and alter the plumbing in the house appropriately, was withdrawn.

In Winchester Town, an application to replace windows and front French doors, retain window blind on west elevation, and regularise wall location to front elevation of the approved side extension at 4, St James Villas was also withdrawn.

All other applications have been approved.

In Bishop’s Waltham, an application to vary conditions at a development in Station Road was approved.

In Colden Common, a proposed single storey and rear extension and first floor living accommodation can be built at The Old School House, 155 Main Road.

Plans for a first floor rear extension can go ahead at Hope Cottage, Upper Moors Road.

In Compton, the construction of a detached timber framed garage after demolition of existing sheds can take place at Compton Heights, Cliff Way.

In Denmead, construction of a single storey side extension has been allowed at Ivanhoe, Hambledon Road.

At Copper Cottage, 1 Furzeley Corner, permission has been granted for the creation of a single storey rear extension and a front porch.

In Durley, permission has been granted for the construction of a two-storey side extension, a single storey rear extension, a porch, elevational alterations and demolition of outbuilding at Karma Manor Road.

In Headbourne Worthy, the installation of an air source heat pump in the back garden of 29 Khosla Road has been permitted.

In Kings Worthy, a lawful development certificate has been issued for the lawful use of The Spinney within the curtilage of Little Stoke for occupation as a separate independent dwelling and the lawful use of land at Little Stoke for residential purposes at Little Stoke, Stoke Charity Road.

A rear extension can be built at 35 Willis Waye, along with a new porch at the front of the property.

In Micheldever, an application to build a replacement garage at Chatton, in Overton Road, has been approved.

In New Alresford, a single storey rear extension can be built at 59 Beech Road, along with a loft conversion with rear facing dormer and the addition of two rooflights to the front elevation.

In Shedfield, an application to add a dropped kerb at the front of Roseleigh Cottage, Winchester Road, has been approved.

At 5 Forest Gardens, Waltham Chase, permission has been granted for the addition of a front dormer.

A single storey side extension and single storey rear extension can be built at 6 Provene Gardens.

The proposed construction of replacement single storey garage in the rear garden area of 21 Forest Close can go ahead.

In Wickham, a proposed front extension and dropped kerb can be built at 28 Buddens Road.

In Winchester Town, permission has been granted to make alterations to the eastern vehicular access of Sarum Road Hospital. Permission has also been given for associated works to do with the alterations.

At 14 Uplands Road, Weeke, permission has been given to replace and relocate existing double garage/workshop with single garage and workshop, as well as make alterations to the house with an attic conversion and first floor extensions, single storey side and rear extensions, and an extended rear terrace.

Plans for a new, fully accessible entrance at St Bartholomews Church, King Alfred Place, Hyde, has been permitted. Permission has also been granted for the fitting of a new external boiler flue through an existing door in the north aisle with the door to be fixed shut, re-configuring the existing external footpath from the boundary gate from Hyde Church Path to the proposed new entrance, and changing the footpath finish to bound gravel, providing a new gas mains connection to the proposed new internal boiler room in the north aisle, with a new GRP cabinet to house the new gas meter to be located adjacent the existing gate in the churchyard boundary wall along Hyde Church Path and a proposed new extension to the existing below ground drainage of the church to link to a new soil and vent pipe in the north aisle for future toilets.

A single storey rear extension with bifold doors and a glazed roof lantern can be built at 8 Pearce Court, 38 Chilbolton Avenue.

Permission has been granted for the construction of a single storey rear extension at 17 Marnhull Rise.

Plans for proposed ground floor wraparound extension, floor plan redesign and all other associated works at 14 Brassey Road, Fulflood, have been permitted.
