Chris While and Julie Matthews, Britain's longest-standing female duo, are embarking on their most extensive tour yet after three successful decades in the music industry.

On October 18 Kings Somborne Village Hall will be humming to the pair's enduring sound.

The duo, known for their folk singer-songwriter style, have been nominated for numerous awards and have a total of ten nominations from the BBC Radio 2 Folk Music Awards, snatching the 'Best Duo' title in 2009.

They've chalked up a massive 2,500 live performances, contributing to more than 100 albums, and spreading their music to millions globally.

2024 marks the duo's 30-year milestone, and they are showing no signs of slowing down.

Their energy remains robust, and the harmony between Chris taking up vocals, guitar, banjo, dulcimer, and percussion, and Julie on vocals, piano, guitar, mandolin, and bouzouki, mirrors their vibrant career.

The pair manage their own careers entirely, standing out in the industry as two empowered women doing it their way.

In September, they will release their 13th studio album 'Days Like These,' which promises to weave through a breadth of topics and the full spectrum of human emotions.

The sizeable event, planned for October, has special guests set to join the duo at numerous venues.

Attendees can anticipate familiar tunes, unreleased tracks from their upcoming album, and the same soulful musical styling that has kept Chris and Julie at the forefront of the folk roots scene over the last 30 years.
