AN Alresford man has been fined after being caught with a lock knife in a public place.
Stuart Richardson, of Meryon Road, had the blade in the market town on Sunday, January 7, a court heard.

Richardson, 43, pleaded guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Tuesday, June 25 and was sentenced on Thursday, August 8.
He was fined £80, must pay prosecution costs of £40 and a victim surcharge of £32.
On the court record, it said Richardson would not have a curfew or do unpaid work due to caring responsibilities and no rehabilitation is needed. The record added: “The defendant was offered a conditional caution and the knife was returned to him.”
