I can't quite believe I'm writing this on the last day of Boomtown 2024. This week has been a whirlwind.

Saturday, day four, began with my usual walk towards Downtown Village which, as ever, was buzzing and the queues for food stalls were long. I picked up a coffee, as well as a pastry from Olivier's Bakery, and took it with me as I strolled across to the press area.

I spent the first part of my day chatting to festival goers about their thoughts on this year's line up. There had been a bit of controversy on social media about the line up as there were no clear headliners, but the consensus was almost completely positive. You can read all about it here

Boomtown has a bit of everything, but I think it's fair to say that DnB is the main music genre you'll come across. So, when a Harry Styles themed concert was timetabled for 3pm at the Bad Apple Bar, I couldn't say no to something a bit different.

The bar quickly filled up, with a DJ who looked suspiciously like Elton John on the decks. He had stood in last minute to cover, and said he didn't really know Harry Styles' music, but by the end, I think Harry gained a new fan. He took requests, and I was first to make one, where I asked for my favourite: Ever Since New York.

I left the concert and the sun was blazing, so I got ready to head out for the evening to catch the last of the day's sunshine. With my friends, I went to Origin, where we enjoyed music from the likes of DJ EZ and Sherelle.

Even at that late hour, the crowd was huge, and it was pretty spectacular seeing colours and fire around the stage while enjoying remixes of some of my favourite songs surrounded by hundreds of people.
