An youth-led charity promoting climate change awareness is giving out free glitter and temporary tattoos at Boomtown.

The UK branch of Climate Live, an international outreach program, are sharing knowledge about climate related issues and offering a safe space for people to visit.

The team are offering free, biodegradable glitter and temporary tattoos for festival goers while they pay a visit to Downtown Village, with the intention that in the short period people are there, they can learn something about their cause.

Marketing co-ordinator Anais Daly, 22, said: “We’re trying to get people with different interests to talk to us. We’re aware people aren’t always involved in politics, so it’s just like a chat.

“When we do the glitter, we have 30 seconds to show people what we do. Glitter is our main pull because everyone wants it at a festival.”

The team can be flagged by their fully solar powered, pink bus, used as a stage, for talks and workshops timetabled to take place across duration the festival.

Director and founder Frances Fox, 23, said: “We’re a global charity across over 40 countries who organise concerts and festivals.

“Come along, we do free glitter and temporary tattoos, and for a donation, we do t-shirt printing, as well as workshops totally free to come along to!”

Workshops include learning to DJ, lyric writing and crochet practices, with talks about radical practices, accessible activism and slow festival fashion.
