A MAJOR Hampshire road has reopend after emergency road works.
The A36 northbound at Ower was closed from the A3090 roundabout to Whinwhistle Road.

In a post on X, Hampshire County Council Traffic and Travel said: “#A36 #Ower - Salisbury Rd CLOSED northbound from A3090 Romsey Rd/#Ower Rbt to Whinwhistle Rd #Blackhill due to emergency repair works, delays on approach.”
National Highways said that a traffic officer attended after reports of a burst water main, but couldn't see any water at all.
