A MAN charged with attempted murder following an alleged attack in Winchester earlier this year appeared before the city's crown court for a pre-trial hearing on Friday, August 2.
Luke Robert Stride, 33, of Fox Lane, Stanmore, has been charged with the attempted murder of Leslie Roy Foulds and assault occasioning actual bodily harm to Julie Stride.
As previously reported, police were called to a house in Fox Lane on Wednesday, January 3, to reports that a man in his 70s and woman in her 60s had been attacked.
The court will conduct another pre-trial hearing on September 27.
The trial is currently scheduled for five days from February 17.
Stride will remain in custody until then. He is currently at Ravenswood House after being moved from HMP Bullingdon.
