Based in the centre of Romsey in Church Street, the centre keeps up to date with events producing a what’s on guide, offer local attraction information and are a ticket agent for Romsey Plaza Theatre, Music in Romsey, King John’s House amongst others with the major benefit of no booking fee applied when you book through us.

If you are looking for ideas of what to do this August, here are the centre's recommendations: Romsey Signal Box opens every Thursday throughout August plus Sunday August 4 and Saturday 17 August. Visitors are encouraged to pull the levers and operate all the associated equipment in this fully restored signal box before enjoying a piece of cake in the Buffer Stop Café.

Come and celebrate local Test Valley food and drink producers at Stockbridge’s annual Trout ‘n About festival on Sunday, August 4, the High Street will be bustling with local traders showcasing local produce and crafts.

August sees the welcome return of Hampshire Open Studios, an annual art trail where you can meet artists of all different media types in their homes, studios and galleries free of charge. Romsey and the surrounding Test Valley is awash with talent, pick up a free catalogue of all the listings from the Visitor Centre; runs from Saturday August 17 until Bank Holiday Monday August 26.

Enjoy a RAODS outdoor production of ‘The Lion in Winter’ in the stunning grounds of Island House, Romsey, Wednesday August 7 until Saturday 10 August.

The gardens of King John’s House will be showcasing all things wool and weaving on Thursdays with demonstrations and little ones can enjoy story time in the garden on Thursdays and Fridays at 2.30pm throughout August.

While away a lazy Sunday afternoon with free bandstand concerts in Romsey Memorial Park.
