Drivers in and around Winchester will have 13 National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And three of them are expected to cause moderate delays – with motorists facing waits of between 10 minutes and half an hour.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A303, from 8pm April 8 to 6am August 3, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 both directions M3, junction 9 to Three Maids Hill, carriageway closures for resurfacing work.

• M3, from 8pm July 10 to 6am August 7, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 11 to junction 9, Lane closures for concrete barrier scheme.

And a further 11 closures will begin over the next two weeks:

• A303, from 8pm July 29 to 6am July 30, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A303 westbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for roadmarkings work.

• M3, from 8pm July 30 to 5am July 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 northbound, junction 13 to junction 12, Lane closure for technology works.

• A303, from 8pm July 30 to 6am July 31, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A34 northbound, Bullington, slip road and lane closures for roadmarkings.

• A34, from 8pm July 30 to 6am July 31, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Kingsworthy to Three Maids Hill, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• A34, from 8pm July 31 to 6am August 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Three Maids to Bullington, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• A34, from 8pm August 1 to 6am August 2, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Three Maids Hill to Bullington, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• A34, from 8pm August 2 to 6am August 3, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 both directions Bullington to Whitchurch, Lane closures for maintenance work.

• A34, from 9pm August 7 to 6am August 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A34 southbound, Three Maids Hill, slip road and lane closures for electrical work.

• A34, from 8pm August 9 to 6am September 14, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M3 southbound to A303 westbound, link road and lane closures for barrier work.

• A3, from 8am August 10 to 8pm August 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A3 Oueen Elizabeth Country Park, South Downs Show.

• A303, from 9pm August 12 to 6am August 13, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A303 eastbound, Upper Norton Farm, slip road and lane closure for maintenance work.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
