AN OPEN-AIR theatre production of a well-known comedy will be taking place in Easton. On Friday, September 13 at 5pm and Saturday 14 and Sunday September 15 at 4pm, the Southwood Players will perform Alan Ayckbourn’s Bedroom Farce. The venue is Wincroft. THE Worthys music festival returns this year to Eversley Park, Kings Worthy. Promising to be “bigger and better than before”, the event will take place on September 14. The local bands performing will include Flaxen Hill, Dave and We’re Not Worthy. Ukulele music, jazz and classical are a few of the genres on offer, with The Hyde Quartet set to “posh it up” between the more lively acts. Alfred’s Brewery will provide beer and there will be street food along with an array of refreshments. The Winchester Sport and Social Club will also open its bar to the public. SAVE the date for a car boot sale which will take place at Easton Village Hall and recreation ground. On Sunday, September 22, members of the public will be able to browse a wide array of items from 1pm until 4pm.

A JAZZ concert will take place at Crawley Village Hall. "Jazz in the Village" will feature Ian Miller on saxophone and Dominic Miller on piano. The event begins at 7pm on Friday, September 13. Tickets are £20 and include a meal. Drinks will also be available at the bar.

A “NON-PSYCHIC ‘Psychic’ Show” will be held at The Worthys Jubilee Hall in Kings Worthy on Friday, October 24. An exploration of magic, escapology, mentalism and other performance skills, the show is designed to appeal to sceptics and believers alike. It is also a historical study of fraudulent mediums, from Victorian frauds to modern forms of trickery. TAKE on the D-Day ducks challenge at the Royal Logistic Corps Museum. Visitors can see a real WW2 DUKW and find the ducks hidden around the museum at Worthy Down. Parking and entry are both free. The museum is open all summer from Tuesday to Saturday between 9.30am and 4pm.
