HUNDREDS of bikers have put on a parade in memory of a young Hampshire man who died in an accident.

The cavalcade was for Kieran Short, 20, who died riding his motorbike in an accident involving two cars on the A334 Botley Road at Shedfield, near Bishop's Waltham on June 27.

Attended by marshals, 101 motorcyclists rode past the site of the crash at 10 miles per hour on Wednesday evening.

The ride started in Swaythling and finished at the biking mecca of Loomies Cafe, on Alton Road near West Meon.

Emergency services attended, but despite their best efforts Kieran, from Shedfield, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kieran's parents Karen and Rob have paid tribute and set up a GoFundMe in his memory. It is reported to have raised more than £10,000.

Many in the parade wore purple and green ribbons. Purple was Kieran's favourite colour and green symbolises his work for the for the South Central Ambulance Service's call centre.
