A NATIONAL survey has found that a Hampshire city is the second-best in the country for family holidays.
Winchester was pipped to the post by Canterbury in the countrywide study, conducted by travel website Go Outdoors.
However, the Hampshire market town beat stiff competition, including Scarborough, Llandudno and Bath.
The survey took into account a variety of factors, such as the weather, family friendly hotels and restaurants, prices and tree coverage.
