Romsey Beggars Fair organising team would like to say a huge thank you to visitors who were so generous purchasing programmes and with donations.

In total £4,440 was collected on the day, which along with other income, all goes to cover the costs of the running of the event.

We are pleased a number of charities benefit from their involvement with Beggars Fair including Romsey churches and King John’s House who act as venues and raise money selling teas and coffees; the Scouts with their popular burger and hot dog stall and The Royal Marines who had a pitch in The Hundred.

Other income for the event comes from advance sales of the programmes, traders, the generosity of sponsors, advertisers, promoters and official pubs and venues, without whom the fair could not continue.

We are indebted to others for their support in bringing the event together and for their input on the day including the performers, Outreach Radio, police, security, medical services, marshals, Test Valley and Romsey Town Council, many other local businesses and all our volunteers.

For information about ways to support us or get involved see beggarsfair.org.uk/contact/ where you can get in touch.
