THERE was traffic chaos in Romsey as temporary traffic lights were out of sequence.
Southern Gas Network is currently doing emergency works at the junction of Cupernham Lane and Winchester Road.

However, the traffic lights meant that lanes were being blocked. Hampshire County Council has confirmed that manual signals will be used in the meantime.
A county council spokesman said: “Southern Gas Network (SGN) is carrying out emergency works on Cupernham Lane. They have advised that they are reviewing the sequencing of the temporary traffic lights and will in the short-term manually operate these to improve vehicle flow.”
