A HINTON Ampner man has been banned from the road for drink driving.
Ryan Prendergast, 41, of Hinton Hill, drove a Mini Cooper near his home address while over the limit on Sunday, June 23, a court heard.
Basingstoke Magistrates' Court was told that, when Prendergast completed a breath test, he returned a result of 64 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, almost double the limit of 35 microgrammes.

He pleaded guilty to the offence at a court hearing on Thursday, July 18.
Prendergast has been banned from the road for 20 months. He has also been fined £450 and must pay a £180 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
The total amount of £715 must be paid by August 14.
