AN alarm has been going off at a vacant Winchester property for over a week.
Passers-by have noticed the continuous sound coming from Wyeth House in Hyde Street for days on end.
While the alarm does not appear to be bothering residents or workers in the area, the estate agents in charge of selling the property say they do not know how to switch the alarm off.

A spokesperson for Castles Estate Agents told the Chronicle: "We had some calls last week. I told the developer and he told me it had been sorted.
"We have keys but don't have the code for the alarm. The developer has been notified and said it was all sorted."
Units in the 14-flat development are currently on offer for £400,000. The building was described by the Castles representative as "an older building" which has been renovated to accommodate modern flats within a stone's throw of Winchester train station and the city centre.
