A MUSICAL adaptation of a beloved children's story is coming to Winchester.
An uproarious The Tiger Who Came to Tea will be performed at the Theatre Royal from Monday, August 5.
The family-friendly show begins as Sophie and her mum sit down for tea. Soon after, the doorbell rings and they are faced with a stripy, tea-guzzling tiger at their front door.

The musical is packed with sing-a-long songs, magic and chaos – ideal for young audiences.
The Tiger Who Came to Tea is based on the children’s book by the late author and illustrator Judith Kerr – also known for her Mog series and whose books have sold more than 10 million copies around the world.
It has been adapted, and directed, by David Wood – a leading writer and director of plays and musicals for children including The Gingerbread Man, The Witches and Babe the Sheep Pig.
An Olivier Award-nominated production, it comes direct from London’s West End and is back on tour and brought to the stage by Nicoll Entertainment – a company, which has toured shows globally and whose other productions include Dinosaur World Live, Dragons and Mythical Beasts and The Lion Inside – a heart-warming story about self-esteem.
The Tiger Who Came to Tea will be at Theatre Royal Winchester from Monday July 5 until Wednesday, August 7 at various times. For more information or to book tickets visit theatreroyalwinchester.co.uk or call 01962 840 440.
