A popular theme park is in the running for several national awards.
Paultons Park has been nominated for 11 awards in the UK Theme Park Awards 2024, making it a major contender.
The park, near Ower, was awarded bronze in the Theme Park of the Year category in 2023 but is hoping to take home gold this time.
It will only win gold this year if it succeeds the other nine nominees in the overall experience offered to customers.
For the fifth year of the awards, five new categories have been introduced.
Paultons Park’s Grande Central Café was nominated for one of these new categories, Best New Food or Retail Outlet.
The café has been praised for its ‘contemporary flare’, with a variety of vegan and vegetarian dishes featuring on the menu.

Unsurprisingly, Peppa Pig World at Paultons Park is nominated for Best Theme Park for Toddlers.
Peppa Pig World has won gold in this category every year since its introduction in 2021.
Theme Parks UK have organised these awards since 2020 to help guide consumers and to recognise accomplishment within the industry.
With a total of 28,652 nominations received, a panel of expert judges helped to compile a shortlist featuring 38 theme parks.
The public will then be asked to vote from July 22 until September 1.
The judges will then determine the final results which will then be announced on September 19.
