Discussing Fleet they wrote: "We've all been there. You're on a long drive in your used Mercedes, and you need to stretch your legs and maybe grab a coffee or something to eat, but you can't find a space for love or money. The best place to avoid this nightmare? Fleet Services – it has a mammoth 730 spaces.

"When you arrive, you have two hours of free parking, so you can make the most of the facilities such as the free showers and the many food options onsite.

"Cobham follows closely behind in second place with 716 spaces, and Leigh Delamere isn’t far behind with 700. So, if you’re wary of missing out on parking spots, try and get to one of these three."

Sam Sheehan, motoring editor at cinch, said: “The first thing to think about is why you want to stop. If it’s simply to break up the journey and stretch your legs before getting back on the road, the quality of the service station isn’t a huge priority.

“But, if it’s a stop to recharge yourself and your EV or for a bite to eat, it can be a huge benefit to look at your route and pick out where to stop.

"This way, you’re not missing out on what these great services offer and your journey will be much more enjoyable.”
