A QUIZ is being held in Bishop's Waltham is raise money for water pumps in Uganda. 
The event, for Watsan Uganda, will be held on Saturday, July 20 at St Peter's Church Hall from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. 
There will be prizes for teams who finish in first, second and third, as well as a raffle.
Teams are up to six people and a donation of £20 is suggested per head. 
There will be a main course and desserts, but bring your own drinks.

A PARTY in the palace is being held this weekend.
The event will be at Bishop's Waltham Palace on Saturday, July 20 from 12pm to 4pm. 
There will be live music, a children's entertainer, BBQ, garden games, a bar and ice cream.
Entry is free. 

SINGING for fun sessions are held on the third Friday of the month in Bishop's Waltham. 
The next session will be on July 19 from 2pm to 3pm at The Stables in Free Street.
It costs £2 including refreshments. 
Enjoy singing well-known folk songs. No talent required. All ages welcomed.

A CEREMONY will be held in Swanmore to rededicate the newly refurbished war memorial outside St Barnabas.
The project has been spearheaded by community safety officer Gary McCulloch and will be held on Sunday, August 4 at 6pm. 
This is a significant anniversary date for the First World War as Britain declared war on Germany on this date in 1914. 
The ceremony will be a chance for Gary and others to offer thanks to those who made the refurbishment possible. Put the date in your diary and RSVP to acso@swanmorepc.org.uk

A SWANMORE pub is hosting a 90s evening to raise money for an air ambulance charity.
The night of music from the 1990s will be at the Rising Sun on Saturday, August 17 starting at 7pm. 
The event is free entry, but funds will be raised for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance. 
Organisers are encouraging people to come in fancy dress.
