THREE planning applications have been refused by Winchester City Council planning officers using their delegated powers this week.

In Shedfield, Mark Jones, of Tangledown, Lower Chase Road, has been refused permission to create new access onto Lower Chase Road.

In Whiteley, Dee Jefcoate’s application to install solar panels on the south-facing roof of The Granery, Whitely Lane, was rejected.

Permission has also not been given to Roland Reim to erect nine 6.7m lighting columns across courts 3 and 4 of Kings Gate Tennis Club in Domum Road, Wharf Hill, in Winchester.

No applications were withdrawn and all other applications were permitted.

In Durley, Toby Ross has permission to install 150 ground-mounted solar panels at the north boundary of Hunters Moon, Durley Street.

In Hursley, Mrs Chamberlayne-Macdonald has been granted a part-retrospective planning application for repairs alterations and change of use from agriculture to flexible Class E use at Unit 8, Longmoor Farm Buildings, Cranbury Park.

Mr and Mrs Skiba, of Wood Sorrel, Main Road, Otterbourne, can go ahead with their plans to add a two-storey front extension to their property and make adjustments to the openings to the rear of the property.

In Soberton, Ben Metcalf, of Manor Cottage, Hoe Street, has permission to build an annex to replace an existing barn with open-out building attached.

Sparsholt resident Matthew Jago can make improvements to the south façade of the kitchen wing of Sparsholt Manor, Woodman Lane by replacing two non-original window openings with two sets of timber-framed French doors. He also has permission to create a new garden pavilion with associated hard and soft landscaping.

In Swanmore, Mr and Mrs Neave, of Rosyth, New Road, have permission to construct a detached timber framed and finished garage/store.

In Wickham, Mrs Evans can create a new front porch at Milestone, Hoads Hill.

In Winchester Town, Ted Burrows, of Hill View, 2 Uplands Road, Weeke, can replace an existing bungalow with a new 1.5-height passive home.

Clive Moore, of 5 Durngate Terrace, can replace an existing, front-facing dormer window with a large dormer window created using similar materials.

Adrian Lusmore, of Rosencott, 64 Edgar Road, can replace rotten timber cladding at the front of an existing garage conversion with reclaimed brick to match the existing brickwork. He can also replace the existing windows at the front of the conversion with new timber windows.

Mr and Mrs Gordon have been able to get a variation of conditions regarding the reduction of the extent of the ground floor rear extension to reduce the overall floor area and size of the building of 41 Bereweeke Avenue, Weeke.

Gareth Goodall, of Spicer Lodge, 1 Christchurch Road, has permission to build a side extension to the property and carry out the associated ground works.

Angus Tilney has been granted permission for the construction of a new side infill extension, L-shape loft conversion and dormer and all associated works at 58 Fairfield Road, Fulflood.
