ROMSEY Bowling Club has raised money for its chosen charity with a stall at the Mayor's Picnic.

The stall sold a range of items, including cakes, books, puzzles, DVDs and CDs.

There was also a guess the weight of the bowl competition, with Norma Bayham winning £25 for the closest guess.

The club’s teddy bear, Parker, was won by Sylvia Palmer, who had the closest guess for his birthday. Sylvia decided to donate the bear back to the club, so he will be involved in another competition.

The stall raised £260 for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, the club’s chosen charity for 2024. This brings the total raised so far this year to £1,608.24.

The club wanted to thank its members and friends who donated books and baked cakes for the stall, as well as Judith Stevens from the air ambulance and her daughter Melissa for helping to set up the stall.
