A Hampshire writer has been chosen for a programme to connect playwrights with directors and actors.
Rachel O’Neill, from Winchester, joins The Mast Studio's Propel programme, designed to pair budding playwrights with professional directors, actors, and rehearsal spaces.
Her play, 'Dalraida', explores themes of ambition, folklore and destiny, set during the Celtic Tiger phenomenon in Galway.
Ms O’Neill said: "It's been a wonderfully collaborative process thus far.
"I've learnt a lot by being in the room during rehearsals that's really helped develop the drama".
'Dalraida' will be performed script in hand at The Stage Door, Southampton on July 15.
