I refer to the letter yesterday from Mr Meyer regarding the ‘controversy’ currently over ‘events’ at the cathedral.
Mr Meyer states that he knows nothing about the situation, but then gives a very firm opinion on the matter.
Much of the ‘controversy’ is based on ignorance of the facts, fuelled by the wretched influence of ‘social media’ which I and many do not follow.
I do trust those appointed by the bishop to carry out an independent review into the events that have led to this situation, in order to resolve it.
I would also urge outsiders to the details (yes, even amongst the cathedral congregation) to desist from further stoking matters until the outcome of the review is available.
