THE UK's biggest touring food festival is bringing some star power to Winchester.

Double-Brit-winning boyband, Blue, will be performing hits from their three number one albums at the Foodies Festival in Winchester.

Disco queens Sister Sledge – of We Are Family fame – will also bring their classic tunes to North Walls Recreation ground.

The list of famous names goes on: the Symphonic Ibiza Orchestra will also be performing a DJ set with live vocals at sunset.

The festival, which takes place between Friday, July 19 and Sunday, July 21, will host a series of big names within the restaurant industry, with live cooking demonstrations from TV celebrities and chefs drawn from the ranks of MasterChef, Great British Bake Off and Great British Menu.

MasterChef champions, Thomas Frake and Hampshire-based Shelina Permaloo will be rustling up some of their signature dishes in front of audiences.

The Professionals 2023 finalist Kasae Fraser, Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch bread expert Jack Sturgess, MasterChef finalist Madeeha Qureshi, ITV This Morning's wine experts Joe Wadsack and Tom Surgey, BBC Radio Solent presenter Louisa Hannan and TV chef, author and cookery school owner Nigel Brown.

Shelina Permaloo, said: "I am delighted to be returning to the demo stage at Foodies Festival this year, it’s always so much fun and a great day out for all the family. Look forward to seeing everyone there"

Showcasing the best of Hampshire and beyond, many of the regions most-highly acclaimed Michelin and multi-award-winning chefs will also appear.

This includes Head Chef, Philip Bishop, from the 2AA Rosette-winning Greyhound on the Test, Stockbridge, Chef-Patron, Andrew Du Bourg, from 3AA Rosette-winning Elderflower in Lymington and Chef-Patron, Daniel Rogan, from Michelin-recommended Restaurant AO.

Over the three days, visitors will enjoy a jam-packed schedule of TV cooking show champions and award-winning chefs in interactive live theatres.

Masterclasses in the Drinks Theatre include tutored Champagne, Beer, Cider, Cocktail and Wine-tasting – presenters include BBC, ITV, Channel 4 drinks experts.

Their will also be a silent disco, a Mad Hatter's tea party and eating competitions.

Tickets are £4 for kids and £21 for adults. Children under six get in free.
