A PRODUCTION of The Importance of Being Earnest will be performed at The Quarry in Avington. On Sunday, July 14, The Pantaloons theatre company will bring their "fast-paced, physical and fantastically funny" style to Oscar Wilde's classic play. Their will be two performances at 3pm and 7pm. THE King Charles pub in Kings Worthy is hosting its annual music festival on Friday, July 12. Opening at 5pm is Matt O’Neil, followed by The Scheme at 7pm and closing is “the UK’s most entertaining ska revival show”, Badness. The bar will be stocked with local ales and ciders.

BOUNCE Winchester is holding three classes at Tubbs Hall in Kings Worthy. The trampoline-based sessions are designed to make exercise fun. THE Worthys music festival returns this year to Eversley Park, Kings Worthy. Promising to be “bigger and better than before”, the event will take place on September 14. The local bands performing will include Flaxen Hill, Dave and We’re Not Worthy. Ukulele music, jazz and classical are a few of the genres on offer, with The Hyde Quartet set to “posh it up” between the more lively acts. Alfred’s Brewery will provide beer and there will be street food along with an array of refreshments. The Winchester Sport and Social Club will also open its bar to the public.
