The Winchester Gallery and Cycle Winchester jointly present How to Draw a Bicycle, a summer exhibition encouraging public participation.
All ages are welcome to visit and create work for the bicycle wall, so the gallery encourages everyone to visit.
The exhibition How to Draw a Bicycle opened on July 6 and is taking place until August 3.
It will be growing over time as they welcome visitors into the space to help create an exhibition full of everyone’s drawings and stories about what cycling means to visitors and their memories of riding a bike.
The gallery, located on Park Avenue, is open Tuesday to Saturday, with particular events planned including workshops at schools, artist features in the gallery, and a celebratory event on July 11 from 5-7pm.
Prominent artists will grace the gallery with their creations, including Olivia Crawley whose bold graphic style will evolve as they create work in the gallery space and Joe Ross will respond visually to stories shared by visitors in his project titled Once Upon a Bike.
Interactive workshops include a collage-making tutorial led by Winchester artist and graphic designer Neil Wyatt, and a unique printmaking workshop featuring Bristol-based Letterpress artist Nick Hand.
