FURTHER to John Seager Green’s letter (Hampshire Chronicle, July 4), I was also surprised by the item in the Hampshire Chronicle about faults in the Friarsgate Surgery.

I’ve been a patient there for over 50 years and I’ve always received kind, gentle and almost always strong support and help from the doctors and nursing staff and I think the Care Navigation team deals with problems very efficiently.

This has been especially noteworthy for me lately when an item in my annual health monitoring was picked up by my GP for further investigation to show a cardiac problem, which was potentially very dangerous and which proved to need fairly prompt surgery which I have now undergone.
