NEW plans have been submitted to transform the outdoor courtyard of a Winchester Japanese restaurant.
Kyoto Kitchen owner Miff Kayum wants a timber covered link between the kitchen and store at the establishment at 5 Bridge Street.
Mr Kayum, who also owns Bangkok Bistro in Jewry Street, previously applied for a new external link way, re-cladding, signage, internal remodelling and modernisation of the building.
However it was refused by Winchester City Council planners last November over concerns it could harm the building.
The new scheme had received no public comments in support or objection by Tuesday, July 2.

The application's planning statement said the covered link way will be of a pergola style with timber posts and open on the sides.
It added: “The outbuilding will house fridges, freezer and storage for produce. The link way will provide better covered access between the external store and kitchen essential to the effective running of the business.
“The scale of this addition is commensurate with the proposed style and scale of development on the site. The height of the link is considered appropriate for the site.
“A review of the street scene suggests the proposals are in keeping with the scale of development in the area.
“The link is unlikely to be visible from Water Lane, due to the recently constructed property which sits in front of the north elevation.”
