Godalming-based LynchPin Theatre is showcasing its latest production which explores the golden age of British theatre.
Set in 1890s London, Rotten Perfect, centres around the struggles of legendary actor-manager, Henry Irving.
It depicts him battling to keep the Lyceum Theatre afloat and to keep his lead actress from leaving.
Essential Surrey praised the play: "I would urge you to try and see this wonderful production wherever it might be performed next."
The play is a product of Claire Parker and will be performed as a staged reading during LynchPin's 25th-anniversary year.
Rotten Perfect features Paul Bryant, Jamie Golding, Jamie Myles, and Edie Campbell and is directed by Kate Napier.
It will take place on June 27, at Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery, St Peter’s Road, Petersfield.
Doors open at 7pm and the play will begin at 7.30pm and tickets are available at £15.
