Winchester Food Festival is not just about amazing Hampshire producers, it’s also a showcase of local culinary talent.

Hampshire Fare has put together a packed programme of demonstrations and talks that will take place on July 14 in Winchester Cathedral’s Outer Close.

Cooking up a storm on the Chef’s Kitchen stage will be Matt Whitfield. Matt is executive chef for the Ideal Collection whose establishments include The White Horse in Otterbourne and Kimbridge Barn near Romsey. Matt will be joined on stage with his sous chef, Tom Nabulsi.

Colin Savory, head chef of the Northbrook Arms in East Stratton, will also be delighting the audience. Since leading the kitchen at The Northbrook Arms, Colin has been showing how pub food can be both classic and interesting focusing on cooking from scratch with local ingredients.

Two chefs will be competing on the stage in a challenge to prepare dishes showcasing ingredients they have found at the festival.
