A ROMSEY man has been banned from the road for one year for drink driving near his home.
Michael Porstendorfer, of Mill Lane, was stopped in Mill Lane on May 11, a court heard.
Porstendorfer, 40, was more than double the drink drive limit of 35mg in 100ml of breath. He was found to have 80mg.

He pleaded guilty at Southampton Magistrates Court on Thursday, June 20.
Porstendorfer was banned from driving for 19 months, which can be reduced by 19 weeks if a course is completed by July 7 next year.
He must also pay a fine of £745, costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £298. This has to be paid in full by July 18.
